Operations

When should operations keep a human in the loop?

Always, for judgement. The AI employee works the volume. A person takes the exception.

Keep a human in the loop whenever the next action needs judgement, money, or a promise to a client. The AI employee can draft, chase, and file. It should not send a price, accept a risk, or speak for you on a messy exception. The team is not the problem. The volume is. A human in the loop is how you keep that honest.

The default

Drafts go out only on paths you approved. Everything else waits for a person.

That is slower on day one and safer on day thirty.

When we refuse a seat

If the only way to make it work is to let the model invent a price or a legal answer, we will not take the seat.

Questions

Does a human review every message?
At the start, yes. Once a path is boring, the human only sees exceptions.
What is an exception?
Anything outside the written rules: a new price, a complaint, a legal question, a one-off promise.
Can we turn the human off later?
You can narrow the review. You should not remove a person from money or client promises.
